Weather in Thailand is warm and humid throughout the whole year.
The best time to visit the country is between November and March when the weather is relatively cool and the number of rainy days is low.
The rainy season in Thailand lasts between June and October, however the weather still stays pleasant and heavy rains are typically followed by sunshine and clear skies.
The Northern Thailand with the capital Chiang Mai enjoys a cooler climate, however same as the rest of the country it sees the three seasons: hot, cool and wet. The best time to visit Chiang Mai is during the cool season which lasts between December and February. During the cool season daily temperatures reach 30°C however at night it may drop to 10°C.

November is the first month of the dry season and the beginning of the high tourist season in Thailand. November sees high temperatures and offers around 8 hours of sunshine every day. The weather is pleasant in all parts of the country.
December, January and February belong to the peak tourist season in Thailand. Being the coolest months of the year they still face high daily temperatures and a relatively high humidity level. The number of rainy days is very low and the weather is pleasant for both relaxing on the beach and exploring the country.
March and April belong to the hot season in Thailand when the temperatures are extremely high. Some rainy days may occur however they bring some relief and are always followed by dry and sunny weather.
May is the first month of the rainy season in Thailand. It is one of the hottest months of the year with a very high humidity level. A chance of rain is usually higher than 50%. Rains are short and heavy, bringing some relief from the heat.
June is the second month of the rainy season in Thailand. It sees high temperatures with a very high humidity level. A chance of rain is high, however rains are mostly heavy and short with periods of dry weather during the day. For guaranteed sunshine travel to Hua Hin town and avoid Koh Chang island.
July and August are one of the most humid and rainy months in Thailand. Both months see very high temperatures and about 5 hours of sunshine every day. Frequent and heavy rains bring some relief and are typically followed by sunshine.
September is the wettest month of the year in Thailand, however it gets at least 5 hours of sunshine every day. It is still very humid and hot.
October is the last month of the rainy season in Bangkok. It is less humid and receives less rain than September. October offers around 6 hours of sunshine every day. The temperatures stay high, the skies are mostly clear and the weather is sunny after the rainfalls.
